The 2016 MXGP series has come to an end with the spectacular Glen Helen hillside circuit, hosting the final round in California, USA.  Gautier Paulin put in a solid performance claiming 5th overall with a 10-5 score. Paulin survives infamous Assen MX GP.

The 16th and last European leg of the MXGP series before moving to the USA, has been a tough round for HRC rider Gautier Paulin.  The sandy circuit took a hammering with overnight thunder storms as well as a Sunday morning shower to create a lottery for the first MXGP moto.  Paulin got wedged in the second turn after bad start and had to climb the ladder from one of the last positions.  Trying to find his race rhythm he eventually crossed the finish line in 19th.
